Gunther Enderlein: (1872 - 1968) studied in the natural sciences at the university, specializing in zoology. He became curator of the Berlin Zoological Museum. He wrote over 500 scientific papers as a zoologist. Enderlein founded his own microbiological institute in Berlin, where he developed new types of preparations from molds.
